Buy second-hand where possible

from charity shops; eBay; preloved; Gumtree; popup shops, carboots etc.

Many items are manufactured overseas where labour is remarkably cheap and produced unethically. Vast amounts of pollution are created moving materials and goods around the world. Very little is then recyclable. Save that process and some cash, reusing items that are already made and already here.
